Season Recap

We went full blast this Spring…bringing dance to outdoor spaces! We graced the Herberger Outdoor stage in early April and Trolley Dances filled 5 public art spaces in Scottsdale mid-month! We are filled with gratitude, seeing so many friends and new faces at these performances! Thank you for being there and sharing your positive energy with us!

We were inspired by classes with various artists this season including class with Victor Quijada/Rubberband dance, at the studio – We are grateful for our relationship with ASU Gammage and our guiDANCE program – bringing youth into the space with us! We also want to express ongoing gratitude to our home at Dance Theater West!

We are so happy to have seen many of you at classes and performances this season – thank you for your support and  for building community with us  through dance!

Welcoming Jada Randall, a lovely new dancer to our company this season! Lots of love and good energy as we present new works from choreographers: guest Jordan Kriston, in-house work from Mary Anne, Susan, Angela, Nikki and Khala. Our dancers bring passion to all they do!

Nikki taught several outreach programs for Movement Source this season, reaching youth at Hirsch Academy and at Biltmore Prep.

A shout out to Arizona Commission on the Arts, Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, and Scottsdale Arts for grant support and partnerships;  as well as all of our Board members and Patrons who made generous donations this season. This support is essential and appreciated!

We are off in many directions this summer from spending time with friends and family, swimming, hiking, biking, meditating, dancing and traveling…

We will be regrouping mid-August and look forward to another innovative season for 2023-24!

Some fun new events are in the works – we are excited to share them with you! Stay tuned!

Stay connected with us through social media and hope to see you at class or a performance soon!

Wishing you all health and happiness this summer and always! XO
